WRITE A SONG by Linda Worsley

'Write a Song' provides a format for writing song texts, melodies and accompaniments. Through sequentially more complex pieces, students explore the excitement and challange of creating songs for a variety of real life purposes, including advertising and retaining important information. The CD provides ten tracks with songs in a variety of styles and moods from which students can choose the appropriate accompaniment and melody. Each track has two melodies provided, plus the opportunity for students to create their own. Many helpful hints provide a scarffolding experience for teachers and students alike. 'Write a Song' allows teachers to address multiple standards across the curriculum, while students get excited about learning through hands-on music making.

MUSIC MEMORY District Contest CD

Must be accompanied by a letter of request from the UIL coordinator on school letterhead or on a school purchase order. This CD will be sealed with an answer sheet and will be shipped separately after October 1st. It must be securely stored and may only be used on the contest day.
